Shannon is a qualified Physiotherapist, Pilates instructor and Yoga teacher.
She began practicing Yoga at the age of 14 which sparked a passion for understanding natural human movement. She studied Exercise Science in her hometown of Chicago at University of Illinois in 2012 and went on to complete a Doctor of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne in 2015. Whilst in Melbourne she studied Pilates with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) and worked in private practice before moving to the Northern Rivers in 2017 and joining the team at Core Studio.
With influences from many different movement styles, Shannon aims to tailor her sessions to the individual needs of her clients. Her focus is on helping to restore the body and mind back to it’s natural, balanced state. Don’t be surprised if Shannon asks you to slow down just as much as she asks you to move.
Shannon is available for sessions on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.
